Pain Management in Action at Medical Mission
Dr. Chang B. Shin, M.D., specializes in pain medicine, internal medicine, and neurology and has served in nonprofit free clinics since 2007. Trained at the University of Texas and with a background in psychology, he is known for combining the best of Eastern and Western medicine to restore balance to the body and relieve symptoms and pain through a thoughtful, whole-person approach to healing.
Using a patient-focused, multidisciplinary approach, Dr. Shin cares for patients with chronic pain, difficult medical issues, and complex conditions, especially those who have found little relief elsewhere. His therapies include acupuncture, Fractal Energywave Neural Balancing™, phototherapy, and structural adjustments, to help patients whenever possible without pills, injections, or surgery.
Dr. Shin has practiced in Uniclinic( https://myuniclinic.com ) in Renton and Federal Way, Washington, since 1999, and remains deeply committed to compassionate care for both his patients and underserved communities. He is also involved with Northwest Mission of Hope and participated in medical mission work in Bambang, Philippines, in 2024 and Eldoret, Kenya, in 2025, extending his dedication to healing beyond his local community.
