Northwest Mission of Hope is deeply grateful for the financial support of our community. Your generosity enables us to fulfill our mission. To ensure transparency and safeguard the interests of both our organization and our supporters, we have established the following donation policies.
Northwest Mission of Hope is a registered 501(c)(3) tax-exempt non-profit organization. Donations are tax-deductible to the fullest extent permitted by law.
Acknowledgments: We provide official tax receipts for all eligible donations. For online contributions, an acknowledgment will be emailed automatically to the address provided during the transaction. For annual tax purposes, we recommend keeping these records.
Tax Advice: We cannot provide personal tax or legal advice. Please consult with a certified tax professional regarding the specific deductibility of your gifts.
Unrestricted Gifts: Unless specifically designated, all donations are considered "unrestricted." This allows Northwest Mission of Hope the flexibility to direct funds to the areas of greatest need within our mission.
Restricted Gifts: If you wish to designate your donation to a specific program or initiative, please indicate this at the time of your donation. We will make every reasonable effort to honor these requests. If a program is fully funded or discontinued, we will contact you to redirect the funds, or we will apply them to a closely related purpose.
We accept donations via traditional methods (check, cash) as well as online through secure third-party payment gateways and peer-to-peer networks (including Zelle, Venmo, PayPal, and major credit cards).
Security: Northwest Mission of Hope does not directly process, store, or manage your credit card numbers or bank account details.
Terms of Service: When donating via platforms like Zelle or Venmo, your transaction is subject to the security protocols, privacy policies, and terms of use of those specific providers.
Because donations are immediately deployed to support our charitable programs, all donations to Northwest Mission of Hope are generally considered non-refundable.
Exceptions: We will consider issuing a refund in cases of proven processing errors (e.g., a duplicate transaction) or suspected fraud. If you believe an error has occurred, please contact us at info@staging.nwmissionofhope.org or (425) 282-4945 within 15 days of the transaction.
